
International Consultation on Sexual Medicine (ICSM)
Purpose
The main objectives of the ICSM are to help transform evolving new data into knowledge, knowledge into recommendations and recommendations into improved patient care. The final document will be the result of evidence-based medicine, complimented by vast clinical experience and our enhanced understanding of disease processes, which can impact sexual health.
Mission Statement
To develop an authoritative comprehensive all-encompassing consensus document highlighting state of the art knowledge and management for male and female sexual health issues; based on the peer-reviewed medical literature and expertise of experts worldwide.

Objectives
History
The 5th International Consultation on Sexual Medicine was organized in Madrid, Spain from June 28–29, 2024.
This joint program, organized by ISSM in collaboration with ESSM, ISSWSH, and SMSNA, brought together over 200 international experts across 24 committees, working to translate the latest scientific data into practical recommendations for patient care.
The peer‑reviewed manuscripts are published in Sexual Medicine Reviews, offering evidence-based guidelines on psychological and interpersonal factors in sexual dysfunction. https://www.icsm2024.org/publications
